Category Manager - Clothing

The Buying and Merchandising division of Exsurgo is recruiting a Category Manager role for a global retailer.

THE COMPANY

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a fast pace retailer who sell to an expanding market both in the UK and overseas!  With a steady following and a growing reputation as well as ambitious expansion plans – they are now looking for a new team member to provide support to their business.  Working closely with the Head of Catgeory this role is broad and no two days will ever be the same!

THE ROLE

The role of Category Manager is to manage the buying function for a clothing brand and stores. You will need to provide clear direction to store commercial teams regarding agreed store space matrixes. Ensure the catalogue offered in all stores meets customer demand, specified margin mix and provides a clear representation of the brand. Manage stock levels in line with stock profiles. Manage risk by maintaining in-season availability, margin achievement and markdown budget.
 

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate should have had previous experience within a retail environment (fashion) A bright and sparky personality with a real work hard attitude is absolutely imperative for this role!

If you have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering results, the ability to analyse data, identify risks and opportunities and implement solutions, excellent excel skills and can work on your own initiative than this may be the role for you.
