The company operates a popular Performance Management System that provides a structured programme of development and support to all employees and also promotes their 5 core business values of Honesty, Customer, Passion, Accountability and People.

This business is 25 years old and their appetite for growth is stronger than ever. Their heartland is within the Foodservice Sector and they are looking for someone to come in and (in the short term) crystallise the opportunities that are currently live and then continue to grow and manage our business within contract catering, travel, events and the major pub chains.

Within the aforementioned sectors YTD performance has been strong with an increase of 34.9% and the forecast for the rest of the year remains strong. This growth has been achieved by getting under the skin of their customers and providing them with what they need (cross selling existing products to them) and leveraging their innovation chef in residence to help customers understand the capabilities of the products.

Further growth can be achieved through deepening their distribution across contract caterers, selling innovation and getting new listings within the likes of Sodexo and Alpha catering as well as across the events sector.

Topline KPIs
  • Hit your Sales, Gross Profit and % margins targets
  • Ensure that your report(s) hits their Sales, GP and % Margin targets
  • Achieve budgeted New Customer GP
  • Increase average weight of purchase amongst your existing customers


Account Management
  • Grow sales within existing account through cross selling existing products and selling in innovation
  • Help customers realise the full potential of our products to increase usage/volumes
  • Forecasting and budgeting of sales and GP
  • Getting a good deal for the business and the customer through negotiating pricing, over-riders and other forms of customer support
  • Tracking and reporting on performance internally
  • Providing feedback and insight to the innovation team to help grow our bank of products


New Business Acquisition
  • Knocking down doors of the few customers that we do not supply and presenting our products in the best possible light in order to achieve new listings
  • Taking part in tender processes
  • Leveraging brand and business credentials with customer food teams to get listings


Personnel Management
  • Providing direction and support for your direct report
  • Objective setting and tracking
  • Activity planning
