Job Details

Our client is an international manufacturer of high quality food products with several sites across the UK. They are experiencing a period of sustained growth and as a result have been in the process of embedding a group wide Lean strategy.



A new opportunity has been created for a Group CI Manager to join the business. Reporting to the Group Operations Director and operating across 5 manufacturing facilities in the UK, the role will be responsible for;

• Providing relevant lean-sigma expertise and leadership to transfer such skills into individuals and teams across the business to enable each site to meet the requirements and expectations of their business excellence programme
• Carrying out periodic assessments with site teams to review progress of ongoing road maps, agree priorities and smart action plans going forward, including clear measures of success
• Actively translate the company commitments to creating a Lean Culture into specific engagement and motivation of people on each site at all levels



The Group Continuous Improvement Manager will have/be:

• Ideally Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
• Previous "hands on" experience in a senior leadership role within Factory Operations- either at Factory GM or Manufacturing Manager level
• Lean-Sigma Black Belt qualified
• Several years experience in a recognised World Class / Lean enterprise with demonstrable process improvement achieved through teams
• Minimum of 3 years Lean Practitioner experience as an internal or external consultant leading CI events and deploying lean principles and tools. Specific skills in Mapping techniques desirable
• Ability to lead and coordinate successful cross-functional improvements is necessary in addition to possessing a high level of written, oral and presentation skills
