As Head of Sales you will be responsible for delivering sustainable and profitable sales performance for the Group companies. You will manage the national business development team, key accounts across independent Retailers whilst looking to grow and developing the territory within the M25

Detailed Job Description
As Head of Sales you will be responsible for delivering sustainable and profitable sales performance for the Group companies. You will manage the national business development team, key accounts across independent Retailers whilst looking to grow and developing the territory within the M25
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivery of business growth in accordance with agreed sales targets by developing existing customers and actively seeking new sales opportunities for the Group and its retail customers
• Leadership and Management of an external (national) sales team
• Develop positive relationships and optimise sales through pre-agreed key accounts
• Actively seek new sales opportunities for the Group and its retail customers within the M25
This is the ideal opportunity/position for a National Sales Manager who is driven, ambitious and that can demonstrate rapid development in their current role and is looking for a fresh challenge. You will be looked upon to bring new, innovative ideas and support the team. You must be passionate about retail and wholesale and will be rewarded with future progression opportunities.
Candidate's Profile
As Head of Sales you should have:
• a track record of leadership in successfully developing sales growth
• a proven ability to develop excellent relationships with new and existing customers
• the ability to proactively identify market opportunities
• a management style that is detail driven to closely manage the team
• confident, positive and engaging communication skills and be comfortable dealing with people across all levels of a business
• excellent self-management and personal organisation skills
• self-motivation and a desire to succeed
• a knowledge of home, garden or similar product distribution or retailing
• financial and cost awareness
• Ideally based an hour max from M4/M25 Interchange but able to travel nationally
