The Client

Our client is one of the leading Brand Powerhouses within the FMCG arena, operating across several branded categories they have an unquestionable appetite for success. They have won numerous awards within the Retail Channel for ground breaking levels of growth and innovation; and they are the chosen authority on questions of category development within their product areas. The UK alone accounts for well over 20% of the Global Business. Their appetite for growth and Brand/Product excellence is second to none, the consumer always comes first and their passion is there for all to see. Having undergone a huge NPD and Brand repositioning drive agenda, they are now well poised to take their business to the next stage of evolution. In order to achieve this transition our client is now seeking to appoint a Jnr Business Unit Controller for the Leading Business Unit.

The Role

As a Jnr Business Unit Controller, you will be tasked with managing a high turnover portfolio on their Number 1 Customer. Working cross functionally both internally and externally you will drive a strong growth agenda within your business unit that will play a significant part in maximising EBIT performance of the UK business as whole. This role will see you operating at very senior level both internally and externally in which you will drive Brand performance within the Your account whilst acting as the “key lead” for Board Visible Strategic Initiatives. Candidates most also display a real appreciation of “Category Led” Trading strategies that are underpinned by a “Robust Intellectual” appreciation of the Marco Issues facing the current retail channel.

 Core Responsibilities

- 20% - Making Strategy Happen in the Team.

Within this remit You will have accountability for "most" Senior Contacts within the Multiple Accounts; Involving working with key Trade Marketing Stakeholders, supporting launch of NPD, driving key events around Commercial Brand Plans.

- Maintaining and build the “highly commercial” awareness throughout the Team.

Given the gravity of the role, it will naturally be the building block to your reaching a BUD role within the UK Sales Structure.

Candidate Requirements

Relevant Candidates will already be operating at a Senior NAM level within a major Branded FCMG player. The role requires a real “can do” mentality alongside a creative flair for solution focused thinking inside a Global corporate framework. Furthermore You will have ideally gained "some"  experience of leading teams either through direct or matrix management. Finally the role requires huge amount of Drive and Passion for delivering real quality to the end consumer combined with a creative flair for delivering ground breaking Customer Solutions.
