Senior NAM – Tesco – Crisps
Our client is already a leader in the own label crisp sector, in addition to which they sell their own highly successful secondary brand. With and enviable trading history, and backed by one of the largest food producers in Europe, they are now extending their offering into own label confectionery in order to further strengthen their position in the impulse sector. Your experience could be from any Own Label category in any food / drink sector, so not just crisps or confectionery, however it is essential that you have good strong Own Label experience at a senior level ( either NAM or SNAM ), and that you have a strong understanding of how the large grocery retailers work. Exposure to Tesco at a senior level will be a bonus. You will need to be very commercially savvy !
In addition to Tesco, you will also be charged with managing other leading retail accounts ( based respectively in Leeds, Bradford and Manchester ), so you should live in the north of England and with easy access to the northern based customer base. Regular travel however will be required to Tesco in the south, as well as occasional travel to head office in London and Kent. There may also be occasional travel to the Central Head Quarters in France ( possibly once a year for no more than a day or two at a time ).
This is a senior and strategic role so as well as having well-polished commercial skills, you should also be fully familiar with the retailer’s own supplier portals, and be fully competent in Excel / spreadsheets as there will be a lot of working with data.
In return for your dedication and hard work, our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £49,456 and £60,127 plus bonus and plus a company car.
