Paul Nyman Consultancy are looking to recruit a senior marketer for a major FMCG business in the Cambridgeshire area. 

The Company

Our client is a multi £million food manufacturer that spans the chilled, ambient and frozen food categories, forming part of a larger international company based across North America and Europe. They boast a varied portfolio spanning a variety of brands alongside a strong presence in the own label market. Within the current marketplace, they are facing growing competition demanding a greater level of creativity than ever before. With such a varied portfolio, the company faces high penetration levels with the challenge of increasing the frequency and repertoire of usage, appealing to customers to use the products in a variety of ways. Marketing the different ways in which these products can be used and taking advantage of trends could be key to driving forward growth. 

The Role

A senior opening has developed within the company allowing for an experienced marketer with the vision and capability to add high value to the company. Within this comes the scope to manage the marketing across the branded and own label products and devise the overarching strategy for the business. Reporting into and working closely with the managing director, this role comes in at a senior level, requiring someone with a good commercial acumen to drive sales and justify added costs. 

The Individual

The ideal candidate will be a commercially experienced marketer who is able to set the strategy with the larger impact of this in mind, and make key decisions within an increasingly pressurised discipline of the company. The successful head of marketing will have experience across predominantly large branded companies. Crucially, they must be engaging and confident in their abilities, with proven ability to manage a team and a variety of fast moving products throughout a career lasting a minimum of 6-10 years.
