Account Manager - South East

Our client is a truly global organisation. Last year, revenue was well in excess of 1 billion, but working within the business, you'd never know it - it still retains a relatively flat structure where you are encouraged to go and have a chat with the Directors if you have new ideas or if you need some help.

With a big focus on promoting from within, opportunities are rarely advertised externally, but there is currently a requirement for a Regional Account Manager to focus on building business within the food division, focused on the South East.

So, what makes this role different? Well, for a start, the bonus opportunities are incredible - your annual bonus can (very realistically) go well into 5 figures. Secondly, whilst this is a B2B position, we don't necessarily need to see B2B sales experience, so it's a rare chance to get into this hard-to-break sector - food ingredients . Finally, this is a territory that still has an awful lot of potential, so it's a great chance for an ambitious person to make a massive impact.

Are you going to be the right person? We are placing a big emphasis on service selling. Our client doesn't try to be the cheapest, but what the company can offer is an ability to solve problems for its customers, which encourages great loyalty. In order to do this, you'll be a consultative sales person who can ask the right questions to uncover potential sales opportunities - if you're used to having a product brochure to allow your customers to just pick their requirements, then this won't be for you. In addition, you'll have a huge variety of products at your disposal, so this job can get incredibly hectic - if you're after an easy life, this won't suit you! We are looking for evidence of real hunger to succeed in a past-faced environment where enquiries can be flying in at any time of day or night.
