Catman Jobs are currently recruiting a Junior Category Manager for a medium sized division of a FMCG group with impressive category credentials in the South East. 

The Business

Our client has the growing niche appeal of ‘good’ products and the flexibility to out manoeuvre the market by providing a value-add through its clever marketing and innovation initiatives.  

As targeted marketing spend sparks consumer interest further the team are looking forward to seeing the brand portfolio develop and the business prosper. 

Growth however does not come without its challenges and as a result they have caught the eye of the retailers who are ‘turning the screw’ commercially as presence on shelf increases. Despite their comparative size the category team have achieved a good presence across several major retailers and are the focal point of the relationship between the business and supplier. 

The Role

As a result of up skilling of the category team within the business the team are now looking for a Junior Category Manager who has shown clear ability to operate in an expanding team with the attributes to progress at pace. Your level of experience will come secondarily to the ‘fit’ within a politics free team who look out for each other and have a strong focus on doing things the right way. 

The Person

You could be a Category/ Marketing Executive with a robust understanding of category data and the confidence to interface with the retailer and the potential to progress quickly. Equally you could already be a Junior category manager looking for an environment where you could reach the next level within 18 months.
