Job Details
The role
- The Category Executive's role is to work closely with the Senior Category Manager, commercial, brand & shopper marketing teams and is pivotal to building these relationships with customers (internal/external) to own category understanding and unlock opportunities for growth
- Be the first port of call for buyers, account managers and brand managers on category performance, opportunities and risks
- Deliver key sector insight and development plans to support the on-going multi channel strategy
- Ownership of retailer specific category plans and projects - range reviews, category analysis etc. through to implementation
- Work with the relevant Brand & Commercial teams to deliver compelling NPD presentations to the retailer that has the Category insight and opportunity
Needed
- FMCG market knowledge
- Good with data and translating it into insight
- Relationship building
- Presentation skills
- Passionate and can do attitude
- Range and merchandising experience would be ideal but not essential
- Has the drive and capability to transition into a category manager position in the near future
