We are looking for a new Senior Research/Insight Manager for the Food and Drink/Beverages vertical in London. This is an exciting leadership role suited to senior managers who believe they are capable of eliciting the strongest possible performance from industry research teams.
You will be experienced in leading the attitudes and behaviours which shape a culture of research excellence, where client engagement is the norm and core to the objectives and responsibilities of everyone in an industry vertical/grouping. The Head of Industry Research must be a natural collaborator, adept at working with a wide range of teams and individuals, either within their own vertical or with our Country Research, Consulting and relevant Client Development teams.
We like commercially aware leader who are not afraid to be out there speaking to and with clients and the industry as a whole.
This is a challenging position and candidates should offer a strong track record in the management of senior staff, client interaction, research development and strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
· To build a fully resourced, well trained and consistently motivated industry team group
· To maximise talent in your group – promote best practice
· To lead thinking and build a compelling narrative on all our industries which engages clients, directly, via communications activity and social media
· To contribute to business verticals, ensuring we effectively marry industry expertise with Consulting and commercial needs and ensure that client numbers reflect our voice and position within a particular industry
Required Skills
· Proven ability to not only effectively manage teams, but to identify areas of best practice and successfully create and implement a stimulating and collaborative work environment
· Demonstrable ability to foster collaboration and trust within and between functions, as well as across teams
· Proven and respected effectiveness in coaching, challenging and developing personnel at all levels
· An in-depth understanding of how the business is structured, its syndicated and bespoke research methods and outputs and how these solutions benefit our customers
Required Experience
· Experienced manager level, with extensive experience of successfully leading international teams and managing large projects or multiple industries
· Demonstrable ability to foster collaboration and trust within and between functions, as well as across teams
· Proven and respected effectiveness in coaching, challenging and developing personnel at all levels
· An in-depth understanding of how the business is structured, its syndicated and bespoke research methods and outputs and how these solutions benefit our customers
