Our client is a very well regarded and extremely progressive fresh food supplier based in the South East. They are a privately owned market leader within their sector and have experienced spectacular growth over the past decade. This growth shows no sign of slowing up under the company's dynamic management and in order to help drive continued business development with both existing and new customers and to help deliver their ambitious plans for the future, they have asked us find an OUTSTANDING SALES DIRECTOR.
The role... it's simple really !!!
Day-to-day responsibility for the sales and business development function across a very large number and range of customers.
To drive sales and profitable growth with both existing AND new clients.
To provide clear frontline leadership to a very talented and highly motivated Sales team and to be actively involved in the account management of each of their major clients.
To support the Managing Director and the rest of the board in the overall management and company strategy.
To be based at the head office in the South East.
The right person MUST have...
Drive, charisma, energy and dynamism and be ambitious for themselves, the company AND their team and colleagues throughout the company.
Fabulous sales skills and first class commercial acumen.
Excellent people management skills - a born leader and people motivator.
An impressive track record to date in a demanding sales and commercial director and leadership role within the fresh food sector and experience of dealing with a range of demanding customers.
Real experience of managing successful relationships at all levels with large national organisations and strong financial management understanding.
A natural "trading" ability and high entrepreneurial capability.
A "Can-Do" attitude with a down to earth, pragmatic management style with professional "corporate" experience and although a strategic thinker, you must be prepared to roll your sleeves up and be hands on as and when required.
