Salary £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

My client is an alcohol distribution company supplying restaurants, hotels, pubs and caterers throughout the UK. Through a re-structure, they are looking for a Demand Planning Manager who will look after a team of 8.

 

The Demand Planning manager will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service through exceeding the availability KPI whilst remaining below the stock cover target.  This is a highly visible role within the business and a customer led approach is essential with the tenacity to deliver results in some of the most difficult circumstances as a point of escalation balancing customer need and cost.

The role:

  • Full responsibility for a team of 8 direct reports – Coach, lead, guide
  • Managing relationships with all suppliers, being a point of contact for any supply or payment issues.
  • Maintaining product availability above target
  • Influencing Hauliers, trade teams & suppliers
  • Maintaining days’ inventory cover below target
  • Supplier inbound performance
  • Reducing the volume of aged stock disposal
  • Operational efficiency projects
  • Full accountability for customer availability and inventory levels
  • Manage international imports suppliers

 

 

The candidate:

  • University Degree in finance / business administration / economics or accounting preferable
  • Supply chain / logistics background
  • Clear communicator, tenacious and results orientated
  • Effective communication and influencing skills with the capacity to drive change
  • Overseas import experience from a drinks background
  • Good knowledge of information systems, processes and Excellent Power Point and Excel skills
  • Ability to lead a team of 8 to drive change and continuous improvement
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to influence at a senior level.
  • Commercially Minded & problem solver
