Channel Controller – FMCG

The business we are representing is a fast-paced, innovative business viewed as a market leader in their category. Part of a multi-billion pound international group they have enjoyed massive success in the UK market in recent years. The product range is viewed as the number one brand in the category and can be found in all major UK retailers. Our client is enjoying consistent growth and looking to continue on their successful journey. An opportunity has arisen for a Channel Controller to join the senior team to lead and develop a team of National Account Manager’s and Executives selling into the grocery channel.

As Channel Controller, you will have full P&L responsibility for the mass market channel including margin, revenue, market share, forecast accuracy and quarterly net sales delivery and service level. You will have around 5 direct reports in National Accounts and will need to be viewed as an inspirational leader in the business. It’s important you have experience of managing the Top 4 grocers in order to help deliver growth across this customer channel.

This exciting opportunity is ideally suited to Grocery Senior National Account Manager’s wanting to progress their career to the next level. Alternatively, you may currently be in a Controller level role and looking for a new challenge. Some exposure to managing a sales team is beneficial. Candidates from food and non-food will be considered however it would be helpful if this person has worked in a branded product environment. This person must have energy, resilience and the ability to create and communicate a vision of success.
