LARSSON & JENNINGS is a Swiss made watch brand which reimagines classic design through contemporary craftsmanship and style. Unsurprisingly, their unique brand proposition has grown rapidly, and their distinct product combination of Fashion and Luxury has won international acclaim. The emphasis globally is to focus wholesale supply principally within major National Account operators.

Far from content with these early gains, they have decided to further develop the L&J wholesale route to market, not just here in the UK but in several key English-speaking International markets as well.

The remit of this new Head of Sales role is to offer unstinting Head Office support to the company’s Wholesale clientele, be they recently established or high on their list of future prospects.

It is important that the ideal candidate should possess an impressive track record within the UK watch industry, as well as knowledge of the majority of Multiple Retail Jeweller, Department Store, and Travel Retail National accounts.

You will report to the COO based in London, and work alongside and share best practice with a colleague whose remit covers various mainland European countries. You will be assisted by a dynamic team of account support specialists, also located day-to-day in fashionable Covent Garden.

With a number of routes to market already secured, you will studiously offer brand support and encouragement to ensure the maximum return from these trading associations, taking full advantage of the existing training and visual merchandising expertise that forms part of the L&J infrastructure.

Product innovation is part of this client’s DNA, with new ranges being continuously introduced – presently this is specifically watches but in the future maybe in other sectors also - constant wholesale contact will be needed.

The company’s modus operandi is to introduce each line as soon as available, rather than waiting for the normal twice-yearly seasonal launches, in order to maintain L&J’s leading position in new merchandise trends.

Commercially you will be conscious of the company’s buy-in commitment, and should the opportunity arise to exit certain ranged elements from time to time, your sales enterprise outside traditional trading channels must be well judged and effective.

 

Collaboration with other equally fashionable lifestyle brands is felt to have distribution merit; here again, your vision and blue sky thinking will be appreciated.

This career challenge will encompass frequent overseas travel, visiting other market territories to research and expand the company’s direct wholesale supply to those influential players representing the most advantageous points of brand distribution, as our client deserves.

A penchant for new business acquisition is a definite selection criterion, and your day-to-day approach in this regard must be well-structured and focused on research, with sound methodology guiding each commercial action and decision you make.

This role will be hugely attractive to an established Sales Manager who may not have had this international market exposure up to now, opening up new progression opportunities, as well as to somebody already operating in the International Sales arena who wishes to take the next prestigious step up the career ladder.

2017 will be a landmark year for L&J. Having brought their name to the attention of consumers through a number of high profile pop up stores, and created an appetite for and recognition of the statement of style represented by the uniqueness of their brand, the opportunity to push the boundaries even further has never been as great.
