Our client is responsible for a number of well-loved brands and is a leader within the Consumer Durables sector. They have become a global business which seems them as one of the most recognised companies in their industry. Having been in operation for over 25+ years they have seen their name, brand and status elevate them into the position they are currently in.
The UK is an established market for our client but they are looking at growing and developing this area to position themselves as market leaders. As a result the group is investing in the UK in order to maximise its potential here. As a result they are now looking to add an ambitious and driven Key/National Account Manager to their team. The successful candidate will help to continue the growth of some of our client’s main accounts including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Debenhams, and Amazon.
As Account Manager you will be responsible for managing a number of important strategic customers. You will have full P&L responsibility and will be tasked with putting together strategic business plans to achieve the company’s profit targets for 2017 & 2018. As a result you will work with a high level of autonomy and must be able to work independently as this is a home based role with 1 day a week in the office. You will be expected to form strong and collaborative relationships with buyers within your accounts. The ultimate aim is to improve sales and profitability for the business and also for your customers by utilising category management techniques. In addition, there will be a selection of new business targets which you will be tasked with securing. There is significant growth potential within your customer portfolio and you will have the benefit of representing a number of fantastic brand in order to help achieve this.
To be considered for this role you will be a National Account Manager or Key Account Manager within non-food consumer durables. Ideally coming from a Luxury Good, Watch, Eyewear, Beauty/Fragrance background is essential along with any experience in dealing with major retailers. You must have a dynamic and enthusiastic personality, you will be a self-starter and be comfortable making strategic business decisions. This is an exciting position in a business where you will be recognised for your successes. Suitable candidates must be able to work independently, be highly driven and also have ambition. You will also need to poses strong presentation skills, experienced in negotiation, and have a strong understanding of Microsoft applications, in particular Microsoft Excel.
