National Account Manager – Grocery, at Vimto

Reporting into the Grocery Controller

A fantastic opportunity to join the Vimto Grocery Sales team as National Account Manager for The Co-op and the minor multiples. Vimto has enjoyed an incredible growth journey over the last 10 years with continued YoY market outperformance across each of our key strategic product categories. You will be working within the largest sector of our UK Sales route to market, responsible for some of our highest growth accounts and tasked with unlocking the significant headroom that will propel Vimto into continued growth in the future.

As a highly visible member of the Vimto UK Sales team, in a high profile role, you will leverage the passion for what you do to drive the customer agenda internally with success demonstrated by implementing and executing commercially focussed joint business plans that deliver WOW with both customer and consumer alike. Your restlessness to find a better way and desire to make a positive difference will drive category share for our brands, build the Vimto branded profile and consumer awareness across your account portfolio.

Your job will include:

  • Developing and owning cross functional relationships across key customers
  • Full P&L responsibility including customer investment, managing budget controls and maximising profitability
  • Developing and executing joint customer business plans that maximise sales and deliver top line sales and profit growth
  • Managing the product portfolio across several soft drink categories and buying contacts
  • Delivering new distribution and NPD on time and in line with the Brand and channel plans
  • Continuously focussing on developing the Vimto portfolio and category share by increasing relative share of fixture space, improving in store availability and building brand profile across all retail formats
  • Securing fully integrated promotional plan which delivers for both the customer and the Vimto business plan
  • Account planning and account profitability including product portfolio profitability (internal/external)
  • Forecasting (volume and financial)
  • Operational alignment and cross functional integration (internal/external)

You are good at:

  • Building effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and operate with ease across levels
  • Working with a variety of data sources to identify trends, issues and opportunities that will form the basis for compelling and creative sales initiatives
  • Thinking differently to simplify complex problems and provide creative customer centric solutions
  • Working with numbers, have an appreciation of how to manipulate and interpret the P&L to maximise financial return through scenario planning
  • Influencing and persuading others through an effective communication style that fosters rapport, trust and belief in you
  • Building professional and compelling sales presentations, using data to retain existing listings and create demand for growth across existing or new products
  • You are a skilled negotiator, comfortable dealing with conflict and ambiguity you can see the bigger picture and plan a winning strategy

  • Successful track record of managing national accounts (2 years + experience)
