Job Details

Our client is a leading fine wine and champagne business with one of the most iconic ranges of Champagnes. They offer a quality portfolio of wine agencies serving the high-end on trade, wholesale and independent retail trade. Due to organic growth and the addition of new agencies to the portfolio, they are looking for a London Sales Manager.

This role will report directly to the Managing Director and the role responsibilities will be to manage and develop existing business relationships within the prestige London on-trade and develop significant new business, to deliver against distribution, volume and financial targets. A key target area for this role will be to develop relationships within Italian restaurants and therefore contacts within these as well as an in depth knowledge of Italian wines is a must.You will also be expected to support wholesaler sales teams and customers, organise and attend tastings and dinners, implement brand activity and host visits to the cellars in Champagne.

 

The successful candidate will be WSET qualified to Diploma Level with experience working with premium Italian wines. You will commercially astute with proven success within the premium on-trade sector and a thorough understanding of the needs of high profile, prestige customers. Key contacts within Italian restaurants within London is a must, as is a candidate who can demonstrate the gravitas and professionalism to represent a prestigious account. You must be based in or commutable to London
