COMMERCIAL SOLUTIONS DIRECTOR, NIELSEN SPORTS UK

To continue our strong growth, Nielsen Sports is seeking a talented sports marketing professional to be based in our London Paddington office. This leader will be responsible for identifying, developing, selling and delivering integrated solutions to clients in the UK & Ireland sport and entertainment sector. Reporting to the Head of Consulting for Nielsen Sports UK & Ireland this role will work alongside the new business development team, heads of departments and managing director as well as commercial leaders in the wider Nielsen group.


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

��� Develop solutions for new and existing clients expanding our consultancy, marketing research and digital solutions whilst maintaining focus on our strong position in the provision of media evaluation services.
��� Accountability for personal revenue target.
��� Support the business with targeting and identifying potential clients through networking, outreach, and other creative initiatives to generate and convert meaningful new business conversations.
��� Lead key UKI consulting engagements working with Head of Consulting UKI & Europe and UKI consulting team.
��� Develop industry profile working with UK Marketing, Global Communications and Head of Consulting targeting thought leadership, PR and attendance at key events during the year.
��� Foster and maintain influential industry relationships with key decision makers in order to promote personal and company profile and our reputation as a trusted advisor.
��� Work closely with relevant functional heads including Marketing, Product leadership, Brands, Rights Holders, Research, Consulting, Digital and Media Services to ensure clear communication and expectation management both internally and externally.
��� Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and new product development ideas.
��� Identify opportunities to collaborate with commercial leaders for relevant products in the wider nielsen group outside of the sport & entertainment division to open up new opportunities with clients.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

��� Substantial experience within the consulting and sports and entertainment sectors.
��� Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods and consulting solutions and the appropriate use in market and with clients
��� A results and outcome focused attitude with the ability to be self sufficient
��� Must be creative, well-organized, possess a strong work ethic, desire to excel, and willingness to learn
��� Strong knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
��� Excellent oral and written communication skills
��� Ability to travel on short notice to client meetings as necessary.
