What are the responsibilities of the Forecourt Development Manager?

The purpose of this position is to manage a defined territory with the total responsibility for sales, debt, margin, cash profit and customer satisfaction. There is a particular emphasis on sales growth. You will be working within the Forecourt Team; knowledge of this industry would be beneficial.

The Forecourt Development Manager will be required to maintain Territory Management costs within allocated budgets and ensure the correct category mix in each store ensuring maximum profitability by driving increased spend across the customer base. You will also analyse sales, market and competitor insight data and work collaboratively with the Area Managers/Contract managers to identify and solve operational challenges and issues and ensuring excellent retailer relationships are maintained and customer service is prioritised at every opportunity. You will also be responsible for new business opportunities within your region.

What do we look for in a Forecourt Development Manager?

- You will possess a full UK driving license

- You will have an excellent level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

- Knowledge of food wholesale (desirable) & the forecourt industry.

- Familiar with the local area and the social and economic factors affecting the area

- Good understanding of cash sales and margin and can demonstrate using them to improve business performance

- Confident and clear communicator & customer focused with strong sales negotiation skills delivered in a proactive and inventive approach
