Area Manager - Scotland
A fantastic opportunity has risen for a Scotland area manager within an FMCG with global brands. This role will be managing the independents channel and a team of 9 field sales executives.
The business has 60% market share in Scotland and ideally they are looking for someone to move up to Regional Manager in a couple of years' time. Ideally candidates will be on their upward curve, driven and ambitious people managers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the team effectively to optimise the structure and geographic coverage of the sales force.
- Understand local consumer behaviour, and analyse market demand and sale forecasts.
- Define the objectives for each activity cycle.
- Help the brands to grow by giving regional managers business ideas and preparing development plans.
- Prepare, develop, train and motivate a high performance team of 9.
- Manage and control the budget for programmes and activities.
Candidates must come from a field sales management background, having proven skills in sales force motivation & development.
FMCG experience is required, either food or non-food - with an ability to self-start and motivate others. Formal sales training experience would be an advantage, however the successful candidate will be developed throughout their tenure.
Interviews will be held on the 25th May in Edinburgh.
