We are looking to recruit a National Account Manager for a premium food brand operating in the cooking sauces and condiments category. A leader in the category, and with a strong heritage behind the brand as well as a focus on continued development and innovation, this business has a fantastic dynamic team and culture, with people at its core. They can demonstrate the sophistication and category leadership of a blue chip, but with the freedom and flexibility of a SME, with outstanding development opportunities as well.

The role will lead the commercial relationship with Asda and Morrison’s, and possibly some smaller accounts. You will be responsible for building and executing the JBP’s, and developing truly collaborative relationships taking a category leadership approach. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will take an active role in the development of NPD opportunities, whilst at the same time effectively manage marketing and promotional plans to maximise commercial return.

The business places great emphasis on creative thinking, the ability to make things happen and fantastic communication skills. Additionally, as it’s a small team, you must be able to contribute to and work effectively within a team environment, going above and beyond to support the business vision as well as your colleagues. You will have operated at National Account Manager level in the Food or drink sector with a solid understanding of P&L management, and have managed at least one grocer at this level. Specific customer experience is not required, but this would suit someone in a second or third NAM role who is looking for an environment that places great value on its people and provides them with the freedom to perform, supported by a fantastic premium brand and team.
