Childs Farm is looking for a Digital Sales Manager, who will immediately take over the running of some of our fastest growing sales accounts and ensuring that the Childs Farm brand is perfectly represented online. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this newly created role is a combination of sales, marketing and digital product management and will come with ambitious targets for growth and brand awareness.

The perfect candidate will have experience in working with retailer websites as well as pureplay retailers Amazon and Ocado. In addition, they should be comfortable working with Shopify or an equivalent ecommerce platform, happy to manage Brandbank and able to translate key brand messages onto our online space. The role would also cover Google Analytics, Adwords and keeping SEO up to date.

The candidate would be expected to maintain an excellent level of retailer service and support, designing and implementing joint strategic plans for each retailer including our own website, and work closely with the Head of Sales and the wider Childs Farm team in executing initiatives and launches.

They will deliver insights from the whole Google platform to develop fresh, new strategies to maximise sales and profit within each channel, and ensure growth of the brand by keeping us looking our best and being easily found.

They will be working closely with the marketing team to work together to ensure all promotional materials, pack artworks, advertising and design deadlines are met and our retailers have everything they need.

The candidate would be responsible for the complete running and design of the ChildsFarm.com website which has ambitious plans and has delivered significant turnover to the business.

They will also be responsible for tracking reviews, improving our feedback from consumers and helping more consumers to enter into the brand or expand their repertoire.

Once all the basics of online strategy have been met, there is ample scope for a good candidate to extend the digital sales plans into international markets and work as part of the sales team to deliver on new and exciting projects.

Through their influence, Childs Farm will be considered THE go to brand on all matters to do with infant sensitive skin and will accordingly be on the shelves of over 70% of the potential retailers who operate within baby & child toiletries in the UK and Ireland by the end of 2017. And this is a developing role, so aptitude and ambition should be a major characteristic of this candidate.

This role is for someone who is supremely confident in all things online and use their knowledge to turn Childs Farm into a serious contender in the online space. The buzz they create around the brand must be infectious, and their knowledge of the brand and the data around it must be second to none.

They have imagination and creativity, and want to be part of a team where ‘no’ and ‘can’t’ simply don’t exist.  They are hungry and ambitious for the business to succeed and for their owns success.  The glass is not half full – it is nearly overflowing.

A sense of humour is a must; we are a fun, playful and slightly bonkers brand (have you ever seen a pony at the hair-dresser?!) and it is vital that this person epitomises and embraces all of this as they will be a major ambassador for the brand.

The right candidate will need to be able to be able to stand on their own two feet and make things happen quickly.  Experience of FMCG will be useful in ensuring that they can get up and running quickly.

This person can write and communicate in all matters coherently, clearly and with brevity. They are assertive and confident.  They are able to manage upwards as well as downwards and across.

We are looking for commitment and drive; qualified and unequivocal skill at doing the job and confidence in that ability.  Plus a great sense of fun, flair and canniness.

The brand is true to itself, and is based in a barn in Hampshire, but within easy commutability of Basingstoke, Newbury, Winchester and Reading.  As we live in close proximity to so many animals, tolerance of them is vital  – the office is full of dogs (and a token cat!) – so living the Childs Farm life is more of a reality than you may think!

This isn’t a role for someone who enjoys hierarchy, structures and rules.  Unlike a larger company, our structure is lean, flat and very accountable.  It’s a rare opportunity and it’s a role for a very talented individual to really make their mark in a fast growing company.
