Established in 1974, Cottage Delight is a multi-award winning manufacturer of speciality foods. They have a portfolio which is vast, encompassing premium preserves, snack foods, bakery products and more.  They are the leaders in their field and remain steadfast in their policy to supply only national and international, high quality independent retail outlets – their ranges will not be found in multiple supermarkets. All of their products deliver a homemade look and are constantly evolving through innovative NPD ideas. Having recently implemented a fantastic sales portfolio plan,, they now require an ambitious individual to work in their newly created Territory Development Executive position.

As Territory Development Executive your role will primarily be to support the Territory Business Managers in all aspects of their role. The responsibilities will include day to day support based from the office in Leek, in addition to occasional ‘on territory’ cover. This is an exciting role which offers the opportunity to travel the UK, shadow the TBMs to gain understanding of business planning, identifying and developing new business opportunities, merchandising and sales negotiation. You will spend an average of 1-2 days per week out in trade supporting the TBM’s whilst also representing the Cottage Delight brands at a number of exhibitions and demonstrations/tasting events across the country. There will also be the opportunity to provide cover when TBMs are on annual leave. This role will provide a natural succession plan to the role of TBM after a 2 year development programme.

To be considered for this exciting entry level role you must have gained some sales experience through possibly a Telesales or Retail role and are now looking for your first field based sales role. You will be based locally to Leek however have the flexibility to travel around the UK at short notice. As this is an opportunity with great long term prospects, you will be an ambitious individual looking to forge a career in sales and be fully mobile to relocate as and when a Territory Business Manager role becomes vacant.
