Childs Farm is looking for a thoroughly organised, engaging individual to work in our brand/marketing department. You must have drive, common sense, determination, buckets of confidence, a hands-on approach, can-do attitude and fun all wrapped up in a disarming smile!

This is a ‘do-er’s’ role; you have to be able to role up your sleeves and execute initiatives with common sense, humour and a no-nonsense attitude.

This is a fast paced environment with quick thinking a necessity. Don’t be deceived by the products that we make and think this is all fluffy bunnies and sunshine; we are competing against some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world and this is an extremely competitive category. But we work hard and have fun at the same time.

Reporting to our Senior Brand Manager, this individual will work closely with both the brand and sales teams, as the role will be involved in all customer-related communications and initiatives. This means that any Retailer driven marketing will  be managed by this role – from store sampling, to on-line promotions, Social campaigns and off-shelf promotions.

The role will encompass all facets of brand marketing at a National level too, working with our Social team, our PR, Media Buying Agency and National Parenting Press. It’s an all-round marketing role with interaction at every level.

It will mean executing a timetable of events that are happening simultaneously around the UK and around the world: and watching them fly!

A very savvy commercial and creative head is required to make sure the deals we do are financial viable, with ROI’s that works and ideas that have impact.

This is a developing role, so the aptitude to grow the role to run the marketing budgets within the bigger marketing P&L and to work on product management, category management etc is important.  We are looking for ambition as a major characteristic to develop in this role quickly.

This person must be able to look through data and make conclusions quickly; excellent Excel skills are therefore essential.

You must want to be part of a team where ‘no’ and ‘can’t’ simply don’t exist.  You are hungry and ambitious for the business to succeed and for yourself to succeed both in the current role and looking beyond to future roles.

The glass is not half full – it is nearly overflowing.

A sense of humour is a must; we are a fun, playful and slightly bonkers brand (have you ever seen a pony at the hair-dresser?!) and it is vital that this person epitomises and embraces all of this as they will be a major ambassador for the brand. There is also work to be done here: but get on top of it, and there’s time to think and create in a way very few roles are able to.

We are looking for commitment and drive; qualified and unequivocal skill at doing the job and confidence in that ability.  Plus a great sense of fun, flair and canniness.

This isn’t a role for someone who enjoys hierarchy, structures and rules.  We are an SME so unlike a larger company, our structure is lean, flat and very accountable.  This is a rare opportunity for a super-organised individual to really make their mark in a fast growing company.
