About our Client: 

This is an amazing and rare chance to join one of the most loved heritage food brands in the FMCG industry. This is a business steeped in history, respected by retailers and loved by consumers.The client has been around for hundreds of years, specialising in providing premium ambient product to both our UK retail sectors in Grocery and is a massive contributor to our Foodservice sector too. 

They also manufacture own label premium chilled products not to mention a huge import and export business supplying some of the UK's most loved brands. 

This is a family run business who promote absolute honesty and best in class practice in order to sustainably and organically grow, ahead of market trends double digit YOY. They boast a modest but hugely talented team who are all so passionate about the brands and business, which is a big asset and makes this a really fantastic place to work. 

There is an opportunity to grow with the business to become Sales Director and work in tandem with the UK MD and Board, on the strategic direction of this brilliant company. 

 

About the Role: 

This role is viewed as one of the most visible in the business as a Senior National Account Manager on some of the largest, key grocery accounts. Your NSV will be c.40% of the overall company turnover so working closely with the Board and reporting to the MD is amazing exposure. 

The role is highly commercial and you will spend time with your senior stakeholders working on strategy as well as lots of time with your account base.  Because of the nature of the business, collaboration is fundamental as is completely transparent working. If it's going great they want to know and if it's negative they want to understand how they can affect this moving forward. 

The business itself is investing immensely in its manufacturing, packaging and importing capabilities. So you need to be someone who loves getting involved cross functionally, leading supply chain and distribution discussions. Getting involved heavily in building trade and category stories to take to Buyers. 

The opportunity is huge for the right candidate. The ideal is someone to progress to Sales Director within a 3 year time period, releasing equity and really progressing your career at a much accelerated rate. 

 

About You: 

We need a Senior National Account Manager who has bundles of top 4 Grocery experience. The right candidate will want to join a truly family feel culture and completely buy in to the businesses sustainable growth ethos. 

Previous Experience:

  • 4 - 6 years Grocery FMCG Account Management experience.
  • Category data exposure and high level understanding.
  • CPI exposure.
  • Detailed JBP experience in top 4 retail.
  • Previous experience in large FMCG food manufacturer preferable.
  • Branded and Own Label experience preferable.
  • Examples of prioritisation of trade spend.
  • Significant Analysis and input to NPD examples.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Strong personal values and a passion for quality, natural, organic premium food & drinks.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
