This is a great opportunity for a high calibre, strategic purchasing professional to join a thriving, growing food manufacturing business.

My client is a leading food manufacturing business with a strong heritage a solid track record of growth. I'm looking for an ambitious Purchasing Manager with progressive experience within a food manufacturing environment and a strong background in strategic sourcing, planning, NPD procurement, stakeholder management and supplier development. You will need a category management approach to sourcing and have real hands-on experience with very strong supplier development and stakeholder management skills.

You'll be responsible for improving costs, service, quality and delivering innovation. The role with encompass sourcing and negotiating a varied range of ingredients and packaging, ensuring innovation and cost value to all areas of procurement.

You'll work very closely with Technical, Commercial, Product Development and Supply Chain teams. It's a fast-paced environment and you'll need to have outstanding negotiations skills and excellent communication skills. Strong commercial acumen is essential and we're looking for someone who is a real self-starter with strong project management skills.
