Our client has a SME UK team & culture, they all care passionately about bringing the best food products possible to consumers across the UK. With category partnerships status & £multi-million relationships with the majority of the top four grocery multiples and M&S this business is in double digit growth. They’re looking for people who share their values and have a genuine passion for learning & success. In this Category Manager appointment, they’re looking to recruit an individual with drive, strong analytical capability and great customer focus.

Due to recent changes and continued success within their category they require a South East based Category Manager to deliver impressive results in all of their key Grocery Multiple customers.

You will:

  • In collaboration with Sales & Marketing departments, analyse and interpret trends to identify category growth, opportunities, risks and build category recommendations
  • Present category recommendations with logical, concise and clear actions to key retailers
  • Provide compelling recommendation for all retailer range reviews
  • Helps translate Marketing Plans into actionable retailer tailored Trade Plans
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of plans to establish key learnings and future opportunities

To succeed in this role, you will be:

  • An experienced FMCG Category Marketing professional (client or agency side)
  • Comfortable with multiple data sets and agile at generating insights from information
  • Computer literate: Office + Nielsen Answers software
  • A strong communicator & influencer
  • A great team player and solution oriented
  • Well organised, able to prioritise and time efficient
