Foodservice Trade Marketing Specialist

Based in the South East, this FMCG business is looking to appoint a trade marketing specialist to develop business leads for food manufactures across all sectors of the British foodservice channel. A few words to best describe them; ambitious and progressive, this is somewhere you can kick start your career. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Annually review and evolve the UK Foodservice Programme to maintain its relevance in light of market developments and client needs. 
  • Present and promote to British buyers the capability of the Irish food manufacturing base into foodservice
  • Organise each year “meet the buyer” events providing opportunities for Irish suppliers to present capability and range of product 
  • Develop the profile of Irish foodservice manufacturers through trade media and Irish Food Magazine
  • Organise annual Foodservice seminar with keynote speakers from Britain 
  • Co-ordinate and develop bespoke mentoring sessions for client companies with the aim of assisting strategic planning for the market 
  • Organise, co-ordinate and develop workshops for market entry companies with the aim of informing participants of key market trends, dynamics of the market and market entry planning  
  • Organise, co-ordinate and develop workshops for advanced foodservice companies with the aim of creating greater opportunities and knowledge of untapped sectors in the market.                    
  • Develop and capitalise on business and promotional opportunities for Irish beef  in foodservice 

The Successful Candidate: 

  • 3+ years’ experience operating  in a marketing role 
  • Experience researching markets, analysing and interpreting information 
  • Successfully introduction of high profile marketing programmes or events 
  • Knowledge of the Irish Food, Drink and Horticulture sector 
  • Proven experience of building credible professional relationships 
  • Budget management 
  • Degree qualified
