Company

An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading fresh produce producers as Foodservice National Account Manager has arisen. With a glowing reputation across the industry, they have well established trading relationships across Retail, Foodservice, and Wholesale channels. The business specialises in the sourcing, supplying and delivering fresh exotic fruit and speciality vegetables.

From two sites the business currently turnover £150m.  The highest quality of services is maintained with re-investment in farming, people and production facilities.  Additionally, their global integrated partnerships ensure a smooth supply of quality produce all year round.

At the heart of the business is a key focus on delivering commercially sustainable solutions with communities and the local environment in mind. Following significant growth within the Foodservice channel, the business is now seeking a National Account Manager to further increase their market presence.

Role

As a National Account Manager, you will take direct responsibility for a portfolio of Foodservice accounts such as Bidfood/Bidvest, Brakes, Reynolds and Fresh Direct. In addition to the management of the mentioned accounts you will be tasked with developing new trading relationships with both Wholesale and End User accounts. Reporting into the National Account Controller you will work in an autonomous environment with the ability to influence business decisions.  As well as working with the wider commercial team, you will liaise with the development and procurement teams to ensure the best delivery to customers.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will be currently operating in a Foodservice Account Management position. You will be a strong negotiator and have a good understanding of the NPD process. As for product background, fresh produce experience would be preferred but essential. Experience within a private label short shelf life product category is however essential.

The role is office based from either site in the South East or West Midlands.
