Our client is a market leading FMCG business with a strong branded portfolio of category leading products. Following a successful growth period and significant investment an exciting opportunity has been created for experienced Category Manager to join the team.
The key remit of the role of Category Manager is to lead the development of the grocery retail category plans for the businesses most successful brand. You will build and manage relationships with the grocery retail customers, identifying and creating category opportunities to drive growth in each account. On the more creative side you will manage the portfolio strategy, making recommendations on the core range and supporting the marketing team in the creation of the innovation pipeline and trade selling stories.
You will ideally have at least three years experience in a Category Management role, preferably gained in a branded FMCG business. Candidates with Category Management experience in a private label business are still encouraged to apply. You will need to be proficient with continuous data sets such Kantar, DunnHumby and IRI to identify actionable recommendations for your brand in addition to having the ability to cross over into more trade marketing elements of the role.
