I am representing a rapidly expanding business, who are in an exciting stage of evolution. Specialising in primary packaging for the drinks industry, they are also creating waves in the food market.  This evolution has come about following years of outstanding growth, and now they are expanding their sales team nationwide. Having helped them recruit new members for their England team, they have asked me to aid them in adding to the Scotland team.

Your role will see you sit within what at the moment is a small, but dynamic team, but this team will continue to grow. As mentioned above you will cover Scotland as a location, but within this area are some of FMCG’s biggest names such as Diageo. Your time will be split across the well-established giants of the drinks industry, right through to emerging innovative start-up businesses. This is predominantly an Account Manager role, however there will also be an element of business development.

So what do you need for this role? Experience in large FMCG companies is a must. Have you worked for blue chip FMCG businesses? Or have experience selling products to the large FMCG names? The guys you will be selling to are experienced in the art of procurement, so you must be experienced in dealing with them. A further prerequisite is management of large accounts you will be managing a multi-million-pound portfolio with accounts of up to £4million. A little bit of business development experience would also be very welcomed.
