Brand New Role: Business Development Manager with one of the UK's leading FMCG Wholesale and Distribution organisation

Client Details

One of the UK's leading Food and Drink wholesale and distribution businesses servicing retail, on trade, convenience, cash and carry, grocery and food service customers.

Description

As Business Development Manager your main responsibilities will be:

* To canvass new business and protect existing business, develop sales and protect profit margins

* Manage and develop the new business you bring in



* Building new customer listings within on trade customers: pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels

* To provide sales representation within a designated area, representing the company in a correct, positive manner

* Achieve sales & income targets set by the Sales Controller

* Attend exhibitions and trade shows when requested

* Resolve issues to the satisfaction of our customers



Profile

Business Development Manager Profile:

* On Trade field sales experience

* Understanding of the food industry (ideally meat industry)

* Hunger for new business hunting

* Ability to manage, develop and nurture existing business

* Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills

* Organised, strategic and excellent communication skills

* Based in or near Cardiff

* Clean UK driving licence

Job Offer
