Account Manager - Food Industry - £40k

A  fantastic career development opportunity has arisen with with a large food manufacturing business  that supply the UK and Internationally. The company supply products into the major retailers, foodservice and manufacturers. They have grown year on year and this is an exciting time to join the business.

The role and responsibility will adapt slightly to the right person but they are looking for a hard working Account Manager. They want someone who is sharp, bright, good communicator and will develop upon existing relationships. The customer base will depend on the individual stepping into the role.

 The Role

• Report to and liaise with the Senior Commercial Manager.
• Account Management of key customers
• Negotiating prices.
• Introducing new products.
• Developing new business opportunities.
• Entering and closing enquiries – relaying any information back to the customer.
• Communicating with existing customers upselling products via telephone, emails and visits.
• Analysing sales data and presenting with Power Point.
• Collating information and monitoring trends
• Leading customer visits.
• Support from Account Executive

The Candidate

• Persuasive (sales and delivery)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Account management within the FMCG sector.
• Passionate to join food industry.
• “Self”-driven, proactive and a strong team player.
• Commercially astute.
• Hard working and eager to learn. 
• Extremely confident in Excel, Power Point and Word.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Open to Account Exec or NAE looking to step up to Account Management, or someone who is a hungry, experienced Account Manager.

• £35,000 -£40,000 + car + bonus + package.
