Sales Team Manager – Premium Confectionery
Our client is an international leader in premium confectionery products. With offices in France and Austria, the parent company has now identified a lucrative opportunity in the UK market, and is investing substantially in the UK sales and marketing efforts. Already successful in the UK and Ireland, there is massive potential for growth, and it is the company’s intention to double the current sales team from five to ten sales executives on the ground. This will be your primary function; to manage the current sales team, whilst recruiting and training the additional sales people.
To be considered for this exciting role, you should have a good level of experience managing a field sales team within the food sector, and ideally have a strong knowledge of either the independent retail / leisure or garden centre sectors. A knowledge of tourist attractions / gift shops / farm shops would also be beneficial.
The sales team is based nationally throughout England and Ireland so you should be prepared for substantial amounts of travel, and in the region or two to three nights per week away from home. There may also be occasional trips to head office in Austria and France. The ideal living location would be to have a Midlands base.
The company, in return, is prepared to offer a generous basic salary range of between £39,157 to £44,895, plus company car, and bonus. Opportunities for career advancement are substantial for the right candidate.
