Buyer - Beauty, Fragrance and Cosmetics

As they continue to strive to stay ahead of the competition a Buyer of Beauty / Fragrance / Cosmetics products is needed by the business to source and negotiate with suppliers and engage with internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain and Marketing to ensure the business delivers a market leading product offer.

Your new role
You will be required to manage your designated trading area, which will include pricing, product availability and ensuring you have the right product mix to deliver sales in line with set targets and budgets. A key part of the role will be to maximise contributions from your suppliers through negotiation and the development of products ranges as well as working with both suppliers and internal marketing teams to plan and manage your promotional calendar.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will have a proven track record at Buyer level within a fast paced Retail or FMCG environment, which will have been achieved through your excellent commercial acumen, outstanding negotiation skills and your ability to think strategically. You will also possess excellent communication skills, a high level of numeracy and have a keen eye for detail. Ideally your buying experience will be in a category that has been led by Branded suppliers and you will have experience of negotiating with international brand names. Experience in the fragrance, beauty or cosmetics industry would be advantageous
