Job Details
A vacancy for a National Account Manager (NAM) has arisen with this leading international technology and services company spanning the consumer goods industrial, technology and building sectors.
The National Account Manager (NAM) has full responsible for achieving the agreed sales and profitability targets and will work with a portfolio of key accounts. You will be responsible for creating a short and long term strategies and for implementing an annual joint business plan for each account. You will be expected to contribute significantly to the Retail Channel and will become a Power Tool sector specialist.
Role and responsibilities:
• Deliver financial targets in by maximising all sales opportunities
• Create and implement joint business plans and 3 year strategic plans
• Manage trading terms and negotiations
• Manage promotional trading plans in line with budgets and profit targets
• Develop strong relationships across the commercial, merchandising, marketing and finance
• Work closely with marketing to create and deliver promotional calendars
• Accurate and timely forecasting
• Monitor competitor activity
Requirements:
• Consumer product or FMCG background
• Experience of the retail channel and ideally with domestic appliances/SDA’s/Power tools.
• Proven track record of delivering targets and growth
• Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach and the ability to manage change
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong personal resolve and determination
• Take on initiative to operate independently
• Able to meet deadlines and complete tasks in an orderly and planned manner
• A full, clean driving licence
• PC literate
