Our client is considered one of the leading contemporary and premium consumer brands within their sector, recognised for their design, innovation and quality. They are an SME that have achieved double-digit growth and won numerous awards for their design.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director this Commercial Director position will be accountable for the company's international and UK sales and trade marketing teams setting the strategy, tactics, plans and budgets to deliver profitable and sustainable long-term growth. You will be responsible for growing the brand whilst protecting brand equity and maintaining alignment with marketing and press activities. This role involves global remit with diverse routes to market including direct to retail, sales agent network and distributor, across both the retail and horeca sectors. Key responsibilities include coaching, developing and motivating high-performing sales teams to deliver exceptional results, managing senior level relationships with key customers and working cross functionally to achieve results.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated and blue-chip trained, currently at Commercial/Sales Director level. An ability to think and act strategically, apply project management tactics effectively and execute plans efficiently is essential. They will have a proven track record of successfully taking strategic responsibility for international and local markets for a premium or fashion led consumer brand. The ability to speak additional languages will be a significant advantage. The successful candidate will have a high level of commercial acumen, be a decisive leader and have excellent people and distributor management skills.
