Category Manager – Chilled Foods 
Up to c. £50k + car allowance and benefits 
Based: Bucks / M1 

Our client is a well-established chilled foods business and a leading supplier of own-label products and quality brands to the major Grocery Retail Multiples. With a solid reputation for innovation, NPD, forward thinking and continued investment in state-of-the-art production facilities, the business prides itself on delivering a flexible, efficient customer service that is second to none.

With a clear vision and strategy for growth, they are now looking for a talented individual with previous Category Management experience to support their growing business in a Top 4 Grocery Retail Multiple account. The role will have real and specific responsibility from day one, for which you will take full ownership. Your remit will be varied and you will be the unbiased voice of reason, providing impartial advice for driving category performance through outstanding insights. In addition, there will be close liaison with the buyer, working in tandem with the customer team to drive their category objectives. 

The role is based at the company’s offices in Bucks / M1 with some flexibility for occasional home working, regular customer meetings, store visits and meetings at other company sites across the country.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and with some previous FMCG Category Management experience at either Category Manager or Category Executive level, gained in a recognised brand or own-label food business. Knowledge of working with continuous and usage data systems such as Nielsen, IRI, Kantar or Dunnhumby is essential. You will need to demonstrate a confident and articulate personal style with strong commercial acumen and good numerical, analytical, presentation and attention to detail skills, combined with a drive and desire for further personal development.
