REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Controller
Location: Mainly Ashford with some flexible working & Customer travel
Role Purpose Statement
Take an active role in developing how we best support Customer & Brakes Supply Chain planning requirements to gather demand insight & manage Customer driven change within the network. Support the development of the team & help to develop collaborative relationships with Brakes Key Customers to facilitate best practice management throughout the end-to-end supply chain.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
•Take an active role in supporting & developing the Customer Planning team, demonstrating best practise, taking a lead-role in engaging with customers & sales where required as well as taking a line management role where appropriate.
•Be proactive in developing ways of working that generate the most value adding Customer insights
•Own & manage the pipeline of activities within own area of responsibility & allocate resource to activities in line with need. Work with the other SC Planning Managers to ensure resource is allocated appropriately dependent on business need & tasks in progress at any giventime.
•Collaborate with Customers Account Management Team to gather forecast value added insight for key demand events (promotions, allocations, menu changes, category switches events etc), challenge, validate & analyse the impact & communicate across the Brakes Supply Chain & Distributionnetwork.
•Work with Customers to gather insight relating to supply changes (bespoke product switches, bespoke supplier changes etc) and support with managing & communicating that change by working with Customers, Suppliers and across the Brakes supply chain & distribution network. Collaborate with customers to ensure wastage risk against bespoke products is identified & tracked within 6 months of its shelf-life end or with sufficient time to take action to avoid waste.
•Work with Customers to ensure that bespoke product discontinuations are cleared from the Brakes Supply Chain & Distribution network within or in line with the agreed timelines or Customercontract.
•Build the appropriate relationships with Internal Sales Teams to gather insight relating to sales driven change (e.g. customer brand switching or nominated to list lineswitches)
•Ensure that feedback is provided to Customers or Sales Teams on the quality of their insights
•Agree policies with sales teams and/or customers to manage waste/stock clearance where those policies do not alreadyexist
•Work with Customers to monitor inbound Nominated Supplier Performance and to drive improvement where necessary
•Coach & mentor the team to enable a culture of continuous improvement

•Own the pipeline to ensure that all Customer change activity is understood at leastfour weeks of the change occurring & is known about / captured on the activity planning pipeline so that the appropriate resource can be allocated toit
