Role Overview

This is a critical, fast paced and exciting strategic sales role for an international leader in food safety and security, facility hygiene and product protection.

This role comes about as a result of an internal restructure within the UK business, and is a new position to join the team of Key Account Managers covering Distributor and Customer relationships.

In this function you will be expected to formally develop, engage and manage on-going relationships with key distributors and customers and develop further opportunities for business retention and expansion.  

The successful applicant will be responsible for working with and alongside distributors and customers, supporting them in building efficient systems through their relationship with Diversey Care.

This role is field-based covering territories between the Midlands and the Scottish Borders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Building sales growth and driving innovation for customers.
•    Utilising CRM tools
•    Maintaining and developing relationships with clients through regular visits and ongoing communication.

Has the ability to make decisions in line with the legislative and compliance guidelines to meet the best needs of the customer or business stakeholder. Able to ‘think on their feet’, whilst considering the best possible solution to the problem.

Communication

A clear, confident and enthusiastic communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels. Shows attentive listening and will contribute, and when required, lead a conversation in the direction for the desired outcome. 

Leadership:

Builds positive relationships and gives clear direction to team members to inspire people to hit targets that result in a performance driven - values led, operational team. Confident in delivering results through others via matrix management. 

Flexibility:

Able to travel nationwide to client and partner sites, with a home office location of Northampton.

Specific Job Skills:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within the retail or support logistics field. Will have previous, demonstrable knowledge of business to business sales and national account management experience with the ability to forge relationships at the highest levels.

They will be commercially and financially astute, a strong negotiator and have a keen eye for analytical detail.
