About Our Client
Our client is the leading FMCG (Food & Drink) business across multiple categories and channels in the UK.
Job Description
The Senior Category Manager will be required to do the following:
- Develop and deliver tailored collaborative category plans across a number of key retail partners
- Create the category strategy for one of the client's largest Grocery customers, including category engagement and resourcing
- Lead the development and delivery of an annual category plan with your customer
- Identify & clearly define key category and customer issues and opportunities and generate the insight needed to resolve these
- Own and deliver the client's range and space metrics as agreed across your customer, and support delivery of the financial plan
- Act as an integral partner to internal sales teams by providing category and customer insight that helps shape strategies & tactics
- Establish new, and develop existing relationships with your customer, with the aim of moving us towards indispensable partner status to drive category, customer & the client's UK growth
The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Category Manager will posses the following:
- Graduate calibre - Business & Marketing
- Significant category management experience, broad commercial experience and knowledge of the UK FMCG market (Grocery experience preferable but not essential)
- Knowledge of continuous data sources and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships, influence internal and external stakeholders and work in a collaborative manner
- Quick progression within Category roles across a couple of top FMCG businesses
- Experience of managing a team of executives/managers
- Leadership and inter-personal skills
- Numerical and problem solving
- Business and commercial acumen
- Analytical mind with a curious nature and numerically strong
- Advanced presentation and powerpoint skills
