Marketing Manager

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for the above position at the UK’s largest animal health, equine and pet wholesaler. This is a new role within a successful and expanding company.

You will report to the Managing Director, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, adaptable, articulate and presentable with relevant experience spent in a similar role. (min 4 years) 

You will manage a small team including Graphic Designers to a tight schedule ensuring deadlines are adhered to with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude. You will be hands on in terms of producing all sales and marketing materials. You will own and control the annual marketing plan. Your role is pivotal to the success of the sales function and the business development function, therefore you must work closely with both.

Previous experience within the Equine Industry would be an advantage, but a proven Marketing track record is essential.  You need to be a team player, well-organised with a good eye for detail, forward thinking, capable of seeing the bigger picture and telling our story.

You must have experience of the full marketing mix. Marketing, brand management, social media, presentation packs etc, advertising, events calendar, as well as experience of development, strategy and budget control. 

You must have strong polished communications skills, both verbal and written with the ability to prioritise tasks. Great planning, accurate reporting and time management skills are essential as is an ability to remain calm under pressure.

You will organise and attend trade shows and industry events during the year. You will ideally be degree educated with excellent IT and organisational skills.
