The Buying and Merchandising division of Exsurgo is recruiting a Head of Commercial Planning for a desirable Retail Company.

This is a very fast-paced and values-driven company, achieving impressive growth and making a difference through their attention to detail.

 

The role

To drive and deliver the commercial elements of the group business year cycle ensuring quality interactions between leaders to drive the group commercial agenda. To perform this successfully the post holder will be required to partner and work collaboratively with multiple key group stakeholders in both the development of the process, its implementation and ongoing delivery.Your biggest accountability will be to lead a small team that plans and conducts our commercial business collaboration meetings with range and retail exhibitions in our annual business year cycle.

 

You must have the skills and experience to:

  • lead your direct team and the tasks interdependently- influencing, motivating and cooperating with key stakeholders
  • plan world class, highly motivating, events with a low cost (or cost effective) approach
  • transition and balance the competing needs of the role, from strategy to operational tasks- you will be accountable for developing the 3 year plan and will equally be required to respond when you notice a tile is missing in the exhibition the evening before the event starts.
  • speak and write fluently in English, and develop clear and concise communication
  • manage yourself and your team in a fast working tempo

 

You must be driven by customers and the desire to make good home improvement solutions accessible for all. You must be highly experienced in strategic planning, strategic and effective communication working in an international environment with people from diverse cultures
