Job Details

The Buying and Merchandising division of Exsurgo is recruiting an experienced Group Trading Manager for a Global Retailer.

 

The role

The role will focus on developing the sales and promotions agenda to ensure stores (physical and digital) grow sales and the customer base. Through the companys unique and compelling product offer and price position as the Group Trading Manager, this would be a great opportunity to be part of a very successful business.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Understand the promotions strategy which is aligned with the group pricing strategy
  • Understand the group promotional product selection process
  • Manage the promotions selection process for your category
  • Build strong relationships with your commercial trading counterparts
  • Write the annual group commercial calendar for your category
  • Liaise with your category sales manager colleagues to ensure the group level commercial calendar is aligned and consistent
  • KPIs
  • Year on Year sales growth after implementation of offer versus rest of business
  • Net promoter score tbc
  • Cost to sales percentage
  • Staff turnover rate

 

The idea candidate:

  • Knowledge of commercial campaign planning processes
  • Understanding/appreciation of product seasonality
  • Financial reporting and understanding of the makeup of net margin
  • Knowledge of commercial campaign planning processes
