Job Details

Our client is a successful UK manufacturer of consumer products who supply many of the UK’s leading high street, grocery, DIY and garden retailers.

They now have the opportunity to recruit an experienced Field Sales Manager to join their growing sales team. Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for developing the Independent Sales business by supporting and managing a team of ASM ‘s to maximise sales to existing and new customers.

You will be responsible for providing motivation, direction and leadership to maximise sales within existing independent retailers and through the development of new business. Additionally you will evaluate the team performance and identify any training requirements, as well as develop and implement effective business strategies to ensure that current and future business opportunities are maximised to provide optimum profitability within the business.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Field Sales Manager who is target driven and demonstrates the ability to develop sound business plans to maximise sales and develop new business. A proven track record of leading and managing a team is also essential.

Additionally you will have highly effective communication skills be self motivated and highly organised, demonstrating the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will also work effectively as part of a team, providing leadership and direction as appropriate and be flexible and adaptable to ever changing business needs.

It is envisaged that the ideal candidate will have gained their experience in the FMCG retail channel.
