We are currently searching for an entry-level National Account Executive based in the East Midlands to join a leading purveyor of continental food products to UK Retail, Manufacturing and Foodservice. Established in the UK for over 40 years the company have a wealth of experience in sourcing high quality Mediterranean food from Southern Europe and are passionate about new product development. Their products can be found throughout the top four retailers including Tesco Finest ranges.

The role of National Account Executive will involve supporting the current National Accounts team and Company Directors to expand sales within existing food manufacturers, foodservice operators and grocery multiples across the UK. You will also be expected to hunt for new business and generate new leads for yourself and your colleagues. It's a great product line (think of the most wonderful deli meats and cheeses that you can and you'll be getting there) within a highly reputable family run business.

As a successful candidate, ideally you will be educated to degree level and have 1 - 2 years of experience within sales. It is absolutely essential that you have a true passion for food and everything that goes with it! This is likely to be evident through your education or most recent role. You will receive close training from the owners of the business and learn the industry from the ground up. This involves gaining great product knowledge, sales training, market and customer knowledge and, ultimately, learning how to manage your own customer base with full P&L responsibility.

Ideally you will be tenacious, ambitious and driven - the perfect candidate will have an entreprenarial edge and drive new ideas relating to business growth both in the UK and Internationally. Initially this will be a largely office based role therefore it is essential that candidates are based in the East Midlands within a commutable distance to Northamptonshire. Sadly, we can't be flexible on this one
