Category Manager

Our client is well established, and growing food manufacturing company with a wide range of products supplied to major retailers and wholesale. They have an exciting new opportunity in their Marketing departments Category team. 

The Role:

•    Assist with the development of the category marketing strategy including business, customers, and branding plans.
•    Assist with the development and management of key brands within portfolio.
•    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing category strategy and developing the product portfolio. 
•    Use performance analysis across the market to identify business opportunities along with consumer insight and market research.
    
The Candidate:

•    Experience of successful product category development.
•    Category specific knowledge from within the food sector, and up to date knowledge of the retail market place would be beneficial. 
•    Good working understanding of market data & market insight tools including experience of both Qualitative & Quantitative research.
•    Must have a background using EPOS, Dunnhumby or Kantar.
•    Strong planning, project management, organisational and presentation skills.
•    Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
•    Competent with use of IT software.
•    Capability to research and analyse and forecast information.

The Package:

•    Up to £45,000 basic salary
•    Car allowance
•    Bonus
•    Pension
