National Account Manager

  • A National Account Manager who is able to demonstrate and has proven experience of growing and retaining an existing customer base through effective partnerships.
  • An individual who is able to build strong relationships with all stakeholders both internally and externally
  • The ability to manage complex customer contracts and fully understand P&L’s
  • An individual with proven experience of delivering excellent value added service, and in driving through and identify new opportunities to expand our proposition within our existing customer base.
  • An individual who has creative flare and a passion for food and the food service industry.

The Role
This exciting new opportunity is to work on a portfolio of key national accounts within a fast paced and growing contract catering division.
You will need to have extensive experience in a sales environment and be able to demonstrate a track record of success handling a portfolio of key or national accounts.
 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • To develop relationships with all relevant stakeholders within our customers business, to ensure a full understanding of their market place, competitors, their goals and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a Joint Business Plan with all customers to establish common goals highlighting the value that Brakes can bring and ensuring actions are achieved through monthly reviews.
  • To act as a facilitator internally by bringing together a matrix team of specialist from across the organisation to maintain and develop our proposition with our customers. (Including Sector Marketing Managers, Development Chefs, Category Specialist and Procurement)
  • Own the customer contract ensuring its requirements are fulfilled and the account is maintained as agreed through the Sales Operations team
  • Owning and managing customer negotiations on all commercial matters from pricing to cost of serve.
  • Work closely with the Service Delivery Managers to ensure major issues are resolved and to embed improvements across the customers estates
  • Lead on all communication to customers on our Business Transformation Programmes including activity such as Multi Temperature conversion, e-commerce enhancements

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Essential:

  • Knowledge of Food Serve Industry
  • Experience of account management
  • Ideally experience in a contract catering environment.
