A unique opportunity for a Meat Trader with one of the largest food groups in the UK. The company are a UK based international wholesaler and distributor of premium fresh foods, with an unwavering commitment to delivering high quality products and outstanding levels of services for their broad and diverse customer base.
Your new role
Based in the West Midlands and working within the wholesale team, you will be accountable for the purchase and profitable sale of meat products within the UK and internationally. You will be tasked with maximising sales and optimising margins via liaison with suppliers in the UK, Europe and worldwide. You will also manage the relationship with both the key customers and the suppliers in this arena, including overseeing import and export processes and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this challenging, yet rewarding position, you will have a experience of purchasing, selling, importing and exporting meat products in a wholesale or related field where you will have a proven track record in identifying new opportunities, bringing on new suppliers and delivering commercial results. You will be a shrewd negotiator, with first rate influencing skills who is able to show initiative and take advantage of new sales opportunities.
